Archbishop of Canterbury meets President Mugabe in Harare

The Archbishop of Canterbury has met President Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe's capital Harare.

Following the meeting Rowan Williams said he had discussed a number of concerns with Mr Mugabe, in particular about divisions within the Anglican Church in Zimbabwe.

The meeting followed a sermon delivered by the archbishop in a sports centre, in which he sent a message of solidarity and support to Zimbabwe's Anglican community.
