Libyans celebrate news of Gaddafi's death

As reports of Col Muammar Gaddafi's death spread thousands of people took to the streets across Libya, firing guns in the air, sounding horns and waving the revolution's flag.

The BBC's Caroline Hawley spent the day in the capital watching Tripoli celebrate the end of Gaddafi's long rule.
