Pirate hostages Pelizzari and Calitz make appeal for own release
Two South African hostages being held by Somali pirates have made a direct appeal for their release.
Bruno Pelizzari was captured together with his partner Debbie Calitz during an attack on a yacht a year ago.
A ransom of $4 million is being demanded for their release.
During a recorded telephone conversation, Mr Pelizzari told his sister, Vera Hecht: "We demand our freedom".
