Bid to host Square Kilometre Array telescope

South Africa and Australia are the last two remaining countries in the shortlist to host the Square Kilometre Array telescope.

It will be the most powerful radio telescope in the world.

The African bid, if successful, will also involve several other countries - and, it is hoped, put the continent at the forefront of research in this scientific field.

Milton Nkosi reports from South Africa.
