Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan 'to defeat attackers'

Nigerian president Goodluck Jonathan has promised to defeat the perpetrators of the attacks in the northern Nigerian city of Kano, which left more than 150 people dead.

Boko Haram, the militant Islamist group, has said it carried out the attacks.

The BBC's Africa correspondent Andrew Harding travelled to Kano with President Jonathan.
