Baloji, DR Congo's 'rising star'

Rapper Baloji grew up in Belgium but is quickly becoming one of the most sought after exponents of contemporary music from his native Democratic Republic of Congo.

He gained prominence with his first CD, Hotel Impala. Although he has lived in Europe most of his life, he has kept in touch with his roots, collaborating with a number of prominent musicians he grew up listening to.

Having returned recently from the DR Congo, where he toured with his band, Baloji performed in London where his album Kinshasa Succursale was recently released.

He also visited BBC Africa's studios, and spoke to Network Africa presenter Bola Mosuro about his career.
