Costa Allegra: Fishing boat towing stranded liner
A French fishing boat has come to the aid of an Italian cruise liner left adrift in the Indian Ocean with more than 600 passengers on board after a power failure.
The French fishing vessel is towing the Costa Allegra to a nearby island where the passengers, all of whom are said to be safe, will be disembarked before being transferred to the Seychelles.
The ship is from the same fleet as the Costa Concordia, which capsized off the Italian coast in January, killing 32.
Peter Biles reports.
