South Africa private schools on rise

In South Africa some 5,000 children, most of them black, are being moved to privately-run schools each year as the state education system declines.

Ministers admit the state system is failing, with poor exam results, few teachers and a terrible infrastructure.

As the BBC's Karen Allen reports low cost independent schools are booming as a result.
