Polls close in Sierra Leone polls

Polls have closed in Sierra Leone's third general election since the 1991-2002 civil war, which killed more than 50,000 people.

Citizens have been casting their ballots for a new president, parliament and local councils.

Incumbent President Ernest Bai Koroma faces competition from eight other candidates, including ex-military leader Julius Maada Bio.

Mark Doyle reports.
