Authorities investigate cause of fire at Nairobi airport
A huge fire has ripped through Kenya's main international airport forcing it to close and disrupting air travel across the region.
Jomo Kenyatta airport in Nairobi is East Africa's busiest and the continent's hub.
Plumes of thick black smoke were visible many kilometres away. There are no reports of casualties so far but
Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has visited the airport to inspect the damage. The minister for transport has advised that "people should not come to the airport and should allow the emergency work to continue".
Andrew Harding reports.
