South Africa mourns Nelson Mandela's death

World leaders have been paying tribute to Nelson Mandela, the man who became South Africa's first president of the post-apartheid era, who has died at the age of 95.

In Soweto, the township where Mr Mandela used to live, hundreds of people have sung and danced in spontaneous celebration for the man they called the "Father of the South African nation".
