Stand-off at South Africa illegal gold mine

Some of the illegal miners who stayed inside an abandoned gold mine near Johannesburg have emerged, but an unknown number remain underground.

On Sunday 11 miners were rescued, but others refused to leave after discovering they faced arrest at the surface.

The BBC's Nomsa Maseko, reporting from Benoni, says the miners are demanding promises that they will not be arrested when they come out.
