South Africans confront uncomfortable truths

The Oscar Pistorius trial in South Africa has grabbed headlines across the world.

But in the country itself, where elections are taking place, it has forced some to face up to uncomfortable truths about issues such as domestic violence and people arming themselves in self-defence because of a lack of confidence in the police.
