Could 2016 become the worst year for migrant deaths?

The International Organisation for Migration has released figures suggesting that 2016 could become the worst year to date for migrant deaths.

It says more than 3,000 migrants and refugees have lost their lives so far this year trying to cross the Mediterranean.

Most of those who died set out from Libya, from where the BBC's Orla Guerin sent this report.
