Life after Kim Jong-il: What next for North Korea?
As North Korea enters ten days of national mourning for its former leader Kim Jong-il, international leaders are watching closely to see how the transition of power to his son Kim Jong-un will play out.
The United States, Japan and South Korea have put on a united front, agreeing to jointly monitor the situation amid concerns over how the economically challenged, heavily armed North Korea will progress under an inexperienced and untested new leader.
