Rescue operation as ferry sinks off Papua New Guinea

A ferry carrying as many as 350 people has sunk off the eastern coast of Papua New Guinea.

The operator of the ferry, Star Ships, says it lost contact with the MV Rabaul Queen after it sent a distress signal between Kimbe and Lae.

More than 200 people have been rescued from the sea.

The BBC's Duncan Kennedy reports from Sydney.
