Chinese forces detain many after Tibetan immolations

Chinese security forces in the Tibetan capital Lhasa are reported to have detained a large number of people after two Tibetan men set themselves on fire on Sunday, in a protest over Chinese rule.

The US broadcaster Radio Free Asia puts the number of arrests as high as 600.

The BBC's Michael Bristow has been following the developments from Beijing.
