Pakistan aid workers shooting: Child removed from vehicle

Gunmen who killed 7 aid workers in Pakistan removed a child from the vehicle before shooting the occupants dead. The child was then put back into the vehicle before the gunmen fled.

It is the latest in a series of attacks apparently targeting health workers immunising children against the fatal disease polio.

Islamic militants are thought to be behind the killings. The group which employed the aid workers says it will resume its activities when security improves.

The BBC's Aleem Maqbool said a five-year-old boy witnessed his mother being shot.
