Australia: First day in the job for Prime Minister-elect Tony Abbott

Tony Abbott has completed his first day as Australia's Prime Minister-elect by vowing to swiftly push through his reform agenda.

His pledges include scraping a tax on carbon emissions and stemming a steady flow of asylum seekers arriving by boat.
