Typhoon Haiyan: Philippines survivors appeal for help

Thousands of people have died and many survivors are desperately awaiting aid in the Philippines after a typhoon swept across the country.

The exact number killed by Tropical Storm Haiyan is still unknown but it is believed that more than 10,000 residents died in the city of Tacloban alone.
