Typhoon Haiyan aftermath: 'An apocalyptic scene'

Aid workers in the Philippines have described the immediate outlook as bleak, even though supplies are now beginning to reach many of the areas devastated by the typhoon.

Such is the scale of the damage that many communities will need to be entirely rebuilt.
