The leader of the opposition party in Thailand was in court to face murder charges in connection with a military crackdown when he was prime minister three years ago.

The leader of the opposition party in Thailand, Abhisit Vejjajiva, has been bailed after denying murder charges in connection with a military crackdown when he was prime minister three years ago.

Meanwhile, demonstrators cut the electricity supply to the office of current Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.
