North Korea marks Kim Jong-il death
North Korea is marking the second anniversary of its former leader's death, in the wake of a dramatic political purge.
Kim Jong-il died unexpectedly two years ago, passing power to his son, Kim Jong-un. but the man appointed to oversee that transition, Chang Song-thaek, was executed last week, after allegedly plotting to grab power for himself.
The BBC's Lucy Williamson in Seoul said commemorations like these are often occasions for the public to show their loyalty to the current leader
