Thai PM supporters rally in Bangkok

Thailand's Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has sent lawyers to answer charges of negligence brought against her by the country's anti-corruption commission.

She is accused of negligence over a government rice subsidy scheme.

Ms Shinawatra's opponents say the programme was rife with corruption but 300 of her supporters have attempted to stop the hearing by blocking access gates.

Jonathan Head reports.
