Security crackdown on petitioners in China

With China's annual legislative session under way in Beijing, security is tight.

Police want to stop thousands of people from flooding the capital during this sensitive period to petition the central government. Petitioning is an ancient form of justice in China where, as a final resort, people appeal to the country's leaders.
