Afghan election: Vote counting continues

President Obama has congratulated Afghanistan on what he called "a landmark election".

He said the poll to choose a successor to President Hamid Karzai was critical, in securing the country's democratic future.

Election officials have begun counting the estimated seven million ballots.

David Loyn reports from Kabul.
