Cyclone Ita headed for northern Australia

Cyclone Ita, a category five storm, is headed towards northern Australia and is forecast to hit the Cape York peninsula late on Friday night.

It is the strongest storm to hit since Cyclone Yasi, which struck in 2011, and is expected to bring destructive winds to Queensland.
