Footage of passengers waiting to be rescued from the sinking South Korean ferry has been released.

Video of passengers waiting to be rescued from the sinking South Korean ferry has been released to the media.

The vessel - named Sewol - was travelling from Incheon port, in the north-west, to the southern resort island of Jeju.

Figures supplied by the government say 475 people were on board and 278 are still missing.
