HK protests: Democracy 'snatched away' - Lord Patten
The last governor of Hong Kong, Lord Patten, has told the BBC that he believes the democracy measures put in place by the UK before the handover of sovereignty to China in 1997 have been "snatched away".
He urged for dialogue between Beijing and the Hong Kong pro-democracy movement.
Lord Patten praised the Hong Kong democracy activists and urged them to maintain a peaceful protest.
