BJP hopes to make gains in Indian-administered Kashmir

Elections are taking place across Indian-administered Kashmir amid tight security in the Muslim-majority state.

India's governing party - the Hindu nationalist BJP - is making a historic bid for power there.

The party is fielding a Kashmiri Muslim as its candidate, Hina Bhat, who says she wants to bring change to the region.
