Muslim preacher Junaid Jamshed in Pakistan blasphemy row

Police in Pakistan have opened a blasphemy investigation against Junaid Jamshed - a former pop star turned Muslim campaigner, after he was caught on camera making allegedly derogatory remarks about one of the Prophet Mohammed's wives.

The video went viral and led to another Sunni Muslim group filing a blasphemy case.

Junaid Jamshed has since issued a video apology, saying his remarks were made out of ''ignorance''.

The BBC's Shaimaa Khalil reports from Islamabad.
