Typhoon Hagupit to make landfall in Philippines 'in 48 hours'

Tens of thousands of residents have fled coastal areas of the Philippines in fear of an approaching typhoon.

Typhoon Hagupit, also known as Ruby, is following a similar path to Typhoon Haiyan, which devastated the Eastern Samar province in 2013.

BBC Weather's John Hammond predicts it will hit land "in 48 hours".
