Nato formally ends Afghanistan combat mission

Nato has formally ended its combat mission in Afghanistan.

US General John Campbell paid tribute to the thousands of Afghan and coalition troops wounded or killed, during what he described as an era of progress and sacrifice.

From the start of 2015, a new Nato force will train and support the Afghan security forces.

Mike Wooldridge reports from Kabul.
