Sri Lanka President Maithripala Sirisena promises press freedom

The new Sri Lankan administration has promised to ensure press freedom and has invited political dissidents to return home.

The government has also ordered an immediate lifting of censorship on dissident websites.

The decision came a day after Maithripala Sirisena was sworn in as the country's new president.
