Pope in Philippines: Huge Mass in typhoon-hit Tacloban

Half a million people are expected to attend a Mass in Tacloban, Philippines, with Pope Francis on Saturday as part of his tour of of Asia.

The event will be held in an area devastated by typhoon Haiyan in 2013, a tropical cyclone which was one of the strongest ever recorded and killed over 3,500 people.

The BBC's Rupert Wingfield-Hayes said Catholics had travelled from across the region to attend the Mass.
