Typhoon Melor: 'The strong winds are terrifying'
In the Philippines, Typhoon Melor has forced over 700,000 people to leave their homes and communities.
The typhoon made landfall on the east coast on the small island of Batag on Monday morning with a second expected in Sorsogon province.
Residents have been warned to prepare for floods of up to four metres, with many seeking refuge in evacuation centres.
Richard Gordon, Chairman of the Red Cross in the Philippines, said the strong winds were "terrifying".
