First civilian president in Myanmar for over 50 years sworn in

Myanmar's first civilian president in more that 50 years, Htin Kyaw, has been sworn in and promised to work towards national reconciliation.

Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of the ruling party, the National League for Democracy, is constitutionally barred from the presidency, but has said she will be in charge.
