100 years of Japanese animation

The oldest surviving anime was found in an antique shop in Osaka in 2008.

Japan's National Film Center, part of the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, has put dozens of old anime online (Japanese), to mark 100 years of Japanese animation.

The classic creations will be shown all year as a homage to an art form Japan has made its own.
