Japanese woman dies after being 'imprisoned for years by parents'

A 33 year old woman has died in Japan after spending years in captivity, locked up by her own parents.

Japanese police said Airi Kakimoto had frozen to death, and was found to be severely malnourished. She had spent about 15 years confined to a tiny 3 sq m (32 sq ft) shed.
