HK student democracy activists removed from government HQ

The last of the Hong Kong pro-democracy activists who forced their way through a police cordon to break into the government's headquarters on Friday have been removed.

Thousands of college and university students had been on strike all week over a decision by China's leaders to rule out fully democratic elections in Hong Kong in 2017.

The events are thought to foreshadow a much larger civil disobedience campaign called Occupy Central which is expected to target the city's central business district next week.

Juliana Liu reports from Hong Kong.
