India aims for 25% manufacturing boost to economy

Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has vowed to boost the country's manufacturing's contribution to the economy to 25%.

It sits at less than 16% today, with years of under-investment in roads and power plants causing problems for manufacturers.

The government is now busy trying to get some of its big ticket manufacturing projects back on track.
