Cyclone Phailin: India relief operation begins

Disaster teams have begun a relief operation after Cyclone Phailin caused widespread damage in eastern areas, forcing up to one million people to flee.

Officials have been praised for being much better prepared than the last time a major cyclone struck, although at least 14 people have been killed.
