Vietnam struggles under rainfall deluge

Fresh floods have continued to cause havoc in the central provinces of Vietnam, where at least four people have died.

Heavy rainfall in central Ninh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, and Phu Yen disrupted traffic and railway routes.

Local media reported more than 450 houses were brought down and almost 6,000 hectares of crops were damaged.

In Phu Yen, water had to be released from a lake containing supplies for a hydro-electric plant.
