Japan tsunami: '35m wall of water flattened whole town'

The scale of the devastation is becoming clear in Japan 72 hours after the massive earthquake and tsunami struck the northern part of the country.

Entire towns have been swept away and hundreds of thousands of survivors are unable to return home.

The BBC's Alastair Leithead is near the town of Minamisanriku which has been virtually flattened.
