Prince William finishes Australia tour in flooded Victoria

Prince William has visited the flood-hit farming region of Kerang in southern Australia, as he finishes his tour of disaster zones in New Zealand and Australia on behalf of the Queen.

Victoria state premier Ted Baillieu welcomed the prince during a visit which saw him learn to kick an Aussie Rules football and receive a cricket jacket from Australian test cricketer Peter Siddle.

During his five-day tour, the prince has also witnessed earthquake damage in Christchurch in New Zealand and the aftermath of Cyclone Yasi in northern Queensland, Australia.
