Queensland remains on flood and tornado alert

The Australian state of Queensland remains on alert for more tornadoes and flooding.

Large swathes have already suffered days of extreme rainfall in the wake of tropical cyclone Oswald.

Hundreds of people have been forced to flee their homes as the severe weather front moves towards the state capital, Brisbane, and New South Wales.

The BBC's Nick Bryant says the floodwaters are expected to break records.
