Two terror suspects arrested in Sydney

Two men have been arrested in Sydney, Australia, on suspicion of planning an imminent terror attack, police have confirmed.

The men, who are 24 and 25 years old, were arrested on Tuesday in the Sydney suburb of Fairfield.

Police say they believe an attack was planned for that day.

The BBC's Phil Mercer says that Australians are "increasingly on the alert" for extremists.
