French strikes against pension reforms intensify

An estimated one in eight of France's busiest petrol stations is now without fuel, as unions continue widespread industrial action aimed at bringing the country to a halt.

Rail services already disrupted will be hit by another major strike on Tuesday.

And a blockade of oil refineries has hit the fuel supply - a representative for petrol station owners says up to 25 per cent of capacity has been affected.
