Swiss to vote on deportation law for foreigners

Voters in Switzerland are preparing to go the polls to decide on a proposal to automatically deport foreign residents who commit crimes.

Supporters of the proposal claim the country's foreigners are disproportionately responsible for crime.

Opponents say the proposal will not reduce crime, but could deport many who have lived all their lives in Switzerland.

The BBC's Imogen Foulkes reports.
