Sweden suicide bomber ‘spread extremist views’
The chairman of an Islamic centre in Luton has said a suspected suicide bomber who detonated explosives in Sweden "stormed out" in 2007 after being challenged over his extremist views.
Abdul Qadeer Baksh said that he had felt "uncomfortable" about Taimour Abdulwahab al-Abdaly but "could not categorise him as a terrorist" at the time.
Abdaly is believed to have been responsible for blowing up a car in a busy shopping area of Stockholm on Saturday afternoon. A second explosion occurred nearby moments later.
